Please don't be too cross with me?

Hellooooooooooooooooo everyone! I know you're cross with me. I get it. I do. You think I've just been skiving and chilling out in my new house and neglecting to write even a single word for the blog posts. Okay, okay... I haven't written anything for the blog posts for a little while... I know... I know! Buuuuut, before you take that tone of voice with me, it isn't because I've been lazy or negligent, honestly! It isn't! (I wish I had the opportunity to be lazy!)

I have never been as busy before, I don't even remember what a day off feels like. (Only that it is cosy and tea filled and nice.) In the past two weeks, we have moved house, I have started a new job (making it my third job at the moment), sketched, painted, scanned, edited and produced not one, not two, but threeeeeee new designs - just in time for the Beaumaris Food Festival, which aside from the new designs took a lot of preparation and planning in itself! It's also been a busy time for Mum too, since my little baby (he'll kill me for that) brother has now officially left to start his own adventures at University! We've also had Farren's younger brother from Italy staying with us, and there's also been a lot of admin-y work for me to be getting on with whenever I had even a moment of time not filled with anything else. Oh, and did I mention, that all the while, we have had no access to the internet or even mobile data, as the new house is a black hole for any kind of signal. Phew. That was a lot of things to catch up on! That was my summary (of excuses....um, I mean reasons) but I'd like to tell you more about lots of those things mentioned above. However, seeing as that is quite a lot to get through, I'm going to leave some of it to tempt you back to next Friday's blog post - which will be all about the Beaumaris Food Festival! So I'm afraid I will be telling you nothing about it yet... except that the winner to our exciting competition is going to be announced, amongst other exciting things...so you've got that to look forward to!

Anyway, that's all for another day, but if you didn't get a chance to attend the Food Festival, we'll be hosting more competitions and other fun things soon (To stay up to date on all things Puffin-Prints-y, make sure to subscribe by entering your email in the box below!). So! I think the first thing to discuss is probably my new job? You know about the new house, and again, pics will be coming soon, I neglected to mention in my list of (excuses) reasons above that I've also been slowly but surely unpacking and unpacking some more, on top of everything else. Still not done though, so you'll have to wait for those too - sorry... I'm such a tease! Anyhoooo, you're now speaking to the new Marketing and Communications Officer for Anglesey Sea Zoo. Yep. I started my new position there last week, and I'm absolutely loving it so far, it's very exciting - however, I don't want to say too much about it just yet, partially because I don't want to jinx it and partially because I'm still very new and have lots to learn still. So that's all on that for now, so I'm working there as well as the shops as well as running Puffin Prints, which is enough to keep me out of too much mischief (although as always, I'm trying my mischievously hardest to make time for it)! I'd like to mention that this is the verily first blog post that I'm writing from our brand new studio! (I keep saying my studio, but it's Farren's studio too - I'll be using it for art and Farren will be using it for music!) Which is really nice, I have a lovely big fancy chair and a nice big round table that I'm using for painting, all set up by the window so I can nosey outside and watch the weather (mostly raindrops lately, but that's okay, I love being cosy in the studio, playing racin' raindrops...which is hopefully pretty self-explanatory?).
As it's getting more Autumny, I'm reaaaaaaaally loving having a bath! One of the things I was pretty determined about when we were house hunting was that I'd love to have a bath. It wasn't going to be a deal breaker thing, but it was something I really did fancy if it was an option. Well, guess what?
Our amazing new house has a bath! So that's something I've really been getting into, with Lush bath bombs...Cruelty free and they smell divine, if you haven't already, get yourself to a Lush store and treat yourself, you'll thank me later.
Something that compliments bath time very well indeed is a good book. I don't know if I've really mentioned this on here before (I almost certainly have but here we go again) I am always and have always been a suuuuper bookworm, but I tend to have random periods of time where I FLY through books, and my default setting is 'armchair with book plus tea.' Particularly when we had no wifi, and Farren was working evenings, I spent a lot of time in the bath with a book or in bed with a book or in an armchair with a book or... you get the idea. And I have really enjoyed it, so once I've published this blog, I think I might pop a bath bomb in the bath and warm myself up with a lovely, relaxing bath! (With a book, of course. It'll be my fourth book in 4 weeks, which doesn't sound like much but they're pretty hefty books - hefty enough that I can only stay reading in the bath for so long because my arms start to ache and I'm scared of dropping the book in the water...)

I realise that I've said I've been super duper busy with not a minute to spare and then in the next paragraph I've mentioned how much time I've spent submerged in relaxing bubbles with a book, and I know how that sounds, but it was mostly when I had no wifi and so I couldn't really do much else, work wise, and it was usually after a long day of working in one of my various jobs! I really am sorry for the sporadic and late blog posts though, aside from the short times that I managed to find where I could relax a little bit in the bath, it really has been absolutely frantic, and I haven't actually had a proper day off in about 3 weeks! And it doesn't look like I'll be getting one in the near future because I am a busy little beeeee!
With that, I think I'm going to sign off and hop in the bath before Farren gets home, and I'll be back on Friday with an exciting blog post! We're thinking about doing a live draw of the competition winner but I will keep you posted - stay tuned and I will catch you on Friday, Rachel x
