Hellooooooo everyone, did you miss me? I missed you last week, it felt very strange not to upload a blog post and I feel like I haven't written one in years, when it's only been two weeks! (I hope I haven't forgotten how...) I have soooOoOoOoo much to tell you, a lot has changed since we last spoke, let me tell you! I have new puffin designs, a new house, a new job... even a new studio! But let's start from where we left off, shall we? The last thing I told you (I think) was that I liked a house and we were in the process of thinking about it, or something along those lines. Well, I'm now sat in my new swanky kitchen at my new swanky dining table as I write this! (On the Notes application of my phone because we still don't have wifi... and we won't be getting wifi until the 6th of September, if I survive until then without it!)
We officially moved in last Friday, which is why there was no post last week and it was a very busy and stressful time! So Friday morning we went and picked up the keys, and then it was time for my little Mini to be packed to the rafters and unpacked and packed and unpacked... my mini as well as Mum's Mini, Pops' car and Farren's Mum's and Gran's car! And not just one trip each, either, it turns out that between us, Farren and I have a lot of belongings. From there, we had to sort through all the boxes and bags and bits and bobs and take the correct boxes to the correct rooms, and begin the Great Unpacking. Bearing in mind that this began last Friday, you will be surprised to know that the house currently looks about the same as when we first moved in. It seems to be some sort of magic spell, in which no matter how many boxes I unpack, organise and flatten, there seems still to be the same number of boxes stacked like a wall in front of me... but such is the way, or so I'm told by everyone... I'm really enjoying it though, as stressful as the initial move was, the unpacking and organising and interior decorating is a lot of fun and right up my artsy alley!

I would love to show you oodles of pictures of the new place, but as I said, it's chock full of boxes and so for now, you can have a hilarious video of me speedily tidying the kitchen and washing the dishes and another of me creating a make shift sofa (we're getting our sofa soon but we needed something temporarily!) out of a futon, duvets, throws and sofa cushions... (yes, that is a washing machine in the centre of the kitchen! It's now installed, thankfully)
So far we've met some lovely neighbours and all in all we're really loving living here, being so close to the centre of town is so handy, being able to nip out to the bakery for a loaf of bread or get fresh farm eggs from the garage (sounds very strange but they're the best eggs I've ever had!) is so lovely. Along with the new house, I've also been busily working away at some brand new puffin designs! As I've mentioned before, we are going to be exhibiting at the Beaumaris Food Festival for the second year in a row and so I wanted to be able to launch some exciting new products for the show. I have three new designs that will be coming out on cards for the festival, as well as A4 and A5 art prints, new magnets and for the first time, coasters! I'm afraid I can't really show you the new products yet but I can show you the new designs... If you're a regular follower of my work, you'll know that puffins are extremely talented creatures, being able to paint, fish, row, party... if you can do it, so can these clever Anglesey puffins! I've recently learnt that amongst other things, puffins are really quite partial to a Summer picnic! I thought this would be a fitting new design to release at the food festival.

As an almost puffin parallel to a current design we already have in stock, Sealed with a Kiss, I've painted some Peckin' Puffins...

And last but of course not least, another hobby of our puffin happens to be one I know a lot of gentlemen partake in, and so I'd like to welcome Puttin' Puffin to our collection!

That's all from me this week, I hope you all love the new designs as much as I loved painting them, and please let me know which one of the new images is your favourite... I think mine has to be Picnickin' Puffin, for the jam sandwiches as well as the fact that at 1am this week, I had to draw the background twice because my laptop crashed and I lost it all!
Thanks for reading, and sorry the post was late (again, I know, I'm rubbish) but next week's post will be on time because I'll have pre-written it, since I'll be getting ready for and at the Food Festival all of the end of next week! I hope to see you there, if you are around, please come over and say hello because I'll be at my stand all weekend and always love a good chinwag!
Catch you next week,
Rachel x
