Helloooo everyone, and welcome back to another blog post! As I wrote the first sentence there, I'm slightly concerned that I write the very same opening line every single week for every single blog post. I'm wondering if I should either go back and change it, or go back to previous blog posts and check, but I don't really want to do that and so if anyone asks, I did it on purpose for stylistic and continuity purposes. Okay, so now that that's all cleared up, hi! How are you all? I seriously cannot believe it's mid-March already. It feels like we've only just had Christmas, this year is going sooooooo fast??! However, this does mean that it's nearly my biiiiiirthday!!! As you will know if you've read any of my previous-birthday-related-blog-posts, I am BIG birthday person and as such I can't wait for my own birthday. I'm looking forward very much a lot to some scrummy cake and I believe I'm going to see the new live action Beauty and the Beast (an absolute childhood fave of mine, just ask my Mum) and so I am very excited for that too! I'm getting ahead of myself though, as my birthday isn't until Sunday so I think I will save the birthday antics for next week's blog post, when I have actually had my birthday!

As for this week, I've been busy painting away and I have created an all new puffin pal! He's not quite all the way finished yet so you can't see his finished picture, but what I can show you is a video! Something that many of you may not know is that another hobby of mine is video editing. When I was younger, I spent hours and hours every night editing video clips to music and making little music videos with Harry Potter clips or sometimes art clips that I had filmed, and for a brief time I even dabbled in stop motion animation. I haven't edited videos to music in a few years, and I really miss it, and so while I haven't brought you the next editing masterpiece this week, I've got my first (proper) attempt at an art video.(A barn owl painting, which is in no way related to my Harry Potter days.) The reason I’m so super nervous is because I’ve recorded a voice-over for this one, and as it is well known, no one enjoys the sound of their own voice played back to them. Turns out, I in particular, hate the sound of my own voice being played back! Nonetheless, though, I’ve been reassured that that’s just the way my voice sounds and so I’ve decided to be brave and show you all anyway. So here it is! I hope you enjoy this, and as I spent quite a lot of time recording this and editing it, the blog post is pretty short this week, as I thought the video would make up for it! I hope that’s okay, and that you enjoy the video, and I hope my voice isn’t as annoying to you as it is to me!

Now that you’ve had a chance to meet him and watch him being born, Mister Barn Owl needs a name! If you have any suggestions, please comment them down below. (Barney has already been suggested by my Mum.) Thanks so much for reading (and watching) and I’ll catch you next week, except next week, the post might be different, as it will be written by a Rachel who is a year older, and a year wiser. (Who am I kidding??) Byeeeeee x
